Roundtable Information
The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals’ (CSCMP) global roundtables dedicate their activities and programs to providing the greatest customer experience possible to local business communities and the supply chain profession at large.
Four decades ago, the CSCMP (then NCPDM) founders established roundtables as a venue to share dialogue as well as knowledge and local opinions. The organization’s founding fathers realized that diverse professional representation was the key to widely disseminating logistics and supply chain knowledge. Through programs offered by the newly formed groups, this objective could be achieved.
Like their Arthurian namesake and the purpose of its shape, CSCMP Roundtables strive to best serve the customer-community by creating an atmosphere of open discussion and equality among those who come to the “table,” encouraging the fusion of differences and commonalities into a cohesive goal.
Roundtables offer a wide variety of educational programs and networking opportunities structured to facilitate communication among all represented supply chain segments. This, in turn, encourages collaboration, and ultimately forms an unbreakable connection among participants, the organization, and the industry. These three “C’s” embody roundtable philosophy and purpose, unifying the talents, skills and knowledge of many into the force of one.
The roundtable cabinets firmly believe that the better the customer experience, the better the value derived by all involved: from the event organizers, to the attendees, on to the supply chain community, and back to the roundtable volunteers.
